February 2017

I have received some questions recently as to how I am doing with my health.  So I wanted to take a brief moment to clarify a few things and let my friends know what the situation is with my leukemia.  I started a new drug protocol about 3 months ago and the progress is very good.  My "numbers" are good and my doctors are very excited about the results.  This looks to be just another bend in the road on this long journey with a chronic illness.  I am feeling very good, and I am encouraged by the results from this drug also.  I am able to maintain the lifestyle I have become accustomed to.  I still preach, teach in the institute, play hockey, exercise, ride my bike, chase the grand kids around and take long walks with Carol.  I have not slowed down one bit.

I want to also give you an update on Pastor James Dalton.  He has received his new kidney and is currently on the long road to recovery.  Please continue to pray for him and his family.

Your Pastor,
Rick Demichele
